Children gathered on the lawn at Hampden Avenue, Cleveland, for Edward M. Betz’s third birthday party in June of 1904. The picture is extremely faded but the enhanced version does reveal some additional details. At some point in the past someone helpfully marked young Edward with an ‘x.’
