According to the note on the back this photo shows “Grandma Schneider” around 1913 or 1914. We can assume that she is the elderly woman seated far left, and that she is Lena Schneider Betz’s mother Frances, whom the 1910 census documents as living with the family. Of the others we can at least pick out Edward R. Betz and his wife Lena standing, second and third from the left respectively. The woman standing next to Lena appears to be Kate Schaefer (nee Keller). The women standing far left and far right are unknown, as is the woman seated middle. The four seated children are, left to right: Anna Marie Betz, Betty Betz, Francis Gerard Betz, and Edward M. Betz.
