The hand-written deed by which George Kolbe, administrator for Cuyahoga County for the estate of Joseph Keller, conveyed the property at the corner of Marion and Sked Streets in Cleveland to Alois and Rosina Betz in June of 1873. Today the property has disappeared in modern development, but would be located just east of Kindred Gateway Hospital. See map and transcription after the images.

Page 1 - Geo. A. Kolbe Admin. To Alois and Rosina Betz ---------------------------------------------------------- Know all men by these presents that I George A. Kolbe of the county of Cuyahoga and state of Ohio, as administrator of the Estate of Joseph Keller deceased late of the county and state aforesaid by virtue of an order and decree made by the Probate Court within and for the county of Cuyahoga and state of Ohio on the fourth day of June A.D. 1873 sold at private sale on the fifth day of June A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy three to Alois Betz and Rosina Betz of Cleveland Ohio, for the sum of thirty five hundred dollars, $3500.00, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the following described Real Estate of the said Joseph Keller dec- eased situated in the city of Cleveland county of Cuyahoga and state of Ohio, and known as sub lot number forty one, No 41, in Scovills allotment of original ten acre lots nos 32-33-34 and 35, and bounded as follows. Beginning at a point on the north side of Marion street and the west side of Sked street. Thence north on the west side of Sked street one hundred forty seven 85/100 feet. Thence west fifty feet, 50 feet. Thence south 147 feet to Marion street. Thence east along the north side of Marion street fifty feet, 50 feet, to the place of beginning be the same more or less --- said sale was afterward to ----- the fifth day of June A.D. 1873 approved and confirmed by said court and said George A. Kolbe as administrator as aforesaid ordered to execute and deliver to said Alois Betz and Rosina Betz their heirs or assigns a good and sufficient deed for said premises according to the statute in such case made and provided. Now therefore I the said George A. Kolbe as administra- tor as aforesaid in consideration of the premises and by virtue of the powers in me vested by law and the orders and decree of the court aforesaid do hereby Page 2 - give grant bargain sell and convey unto them the said Alois Betz and Rosina Betz their heirs and assigns the real estate aforesaid with all and singular the appurte- nances thereunto belonging. To have and to hold the same unto the said Alois Betz and Rosina Betz their heirs and assigns forever. In testimony whereof I as Administrator as aforesaid herewith set my hand and seal this fifth day of June A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy three.
