Ham toast and french toast

Two very different kinds of toast, I think it’s safe to say.

Ham Toast

About 1 lb of lean ham
boiled + minced
very fine add the yolks
of 3 eggs one tablespoon
of butter 2 tablespoons of
Cream and season well with
cayenne pepper Stir it over
the fire until it begins
to thicken then spread
it over very thick slices of
toast Serve warm

French Toast

1 egg 1/2 cup of Milk little salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
flour enough to make a batter thinner
than griddle cakes. Cut your
bread about 1/2 inch thick dip in mixture
and fry a light brown.
